Ok the resource type "page" is not longer configured by default in
registry.xml. The import apparently still has some dependency which will be
removed soon.
In the meantime, open "/WEB-INF/config/registry.xml" in any text editor.
Locate the following lines:
<resourcetype>
<class>org.opencms.file.CmsResourceTypeFolder</class>
<class>org.opencms.file.CmsResourceTypePointer</class>
<class>org.opencms.file.CmsResourceTypePlain</class>
<class>org.opencms.file.CmsResourceTypeXMLTemplate</class>
<class>org.opencms.file.CmsResourceTypeBinary</class>
<class>org.opencms.file.CmsResourceTypeImage</class>
<class>org.opencms.file.CmsResourceTypeJsp</class>
<class>org.opencms.file.CmsResourceTypeLink</class>
<class>org.opencms.file.CmsResourceTypeXmlPage</class>
</resourcetype>
add the following subnode into the <resourcetype> node:
<class>org.opencms.file.CmsResourceTypePage</class>
Then try again, it should work now.
Best Regards,
Alex.

Steffen,
you can't upgrade to 5.3.3, because version 5.3.3 is not even fnished. It's
just the build.xml version number that has been set to 5.3.3 to distinguish
it between 5.3.2, which was the last tagged version.
Upgrade procedures for 5.0 websites are currently not available, but will be
before 6.0 is released.
All XmlTemplate based "page" resources will be auto-converted into "xmlpage"
resources. Default is 6.0 will not support XmlTemplates. The import should
handle all normal "page" resources where the control file was not edited
manually. If you have errors during the import of such pages, please provide
some more details. Also make sure to try the latest CVS HEAD, or wait until
5.3.3 is tagged.
Best Regards,
Alex.

Thanks a lot! Steffen
