Hi,

Joerg, I´ve sent the patch to you. I don´t know why you didn´t receive the
mail, I`ll try it again...

I just don´t want to send the code around here to the list because of its
size.

Regards
Daniel Wemhoff

Hi Jose,

have a look to the mail from Daniel Wemhoff at 28.01.2004. They seems to
have a fix for the problem.
I tried to get the patch from him but got no answer. Has anyone got this
patch. We are highly interested on a solution too.

Regards
Joerg Oppermann

Betreff: [opencms-dev] OpenCMS pool vs. DataSource

¡Hello, everybody!

In our installation we have experience 'deadlocks' testing OpenCMS with a
high number of request over Oracle database.
We have:

Oracle 9i with OC4J Application Sever.
Red Hat Linux 7.3
OpenCMS 5.0.0

In the list, we find a solution consiting in replacing DriverManager
connections used by OpenCMS pool with calls to DataSource, throw a JNDI jdbc
connection. It works, but every operation now opens a big amount of
connections and our recompiled OpenCMS is now, very, very slow.

Has anybody solved this problem?

Thanks in advance,

José A. Morillas.
