[opencms-dev] problems with Ethiopic characters(Amharic language)

Hello everyone,

I'm using OpenCms 5.0, MYSQL, Tomcat 4.1.27 and IE
6.0.

I'm trying to translate OpenCMS Workplace and online
help to Amharic (the official language of the
Ethiopian government). I have encountered a problem in
displaying the Ethiopic characters(Amharic uses
Ethiopic characters). I set the default encoding and
CATALINA_OPTs to UTF-8. But when I change the language
I get garbage characters.

Maybe somebody can help me.
