[opencms-dev] File upload limit... again

Hi. I've changed the "max_allowed_packet" variable to be "50M" and I've restarted the MySQL DB and also restarted Tomcat - but when I upload a large file (~3M) I still get the same error message: "Packet is larger than max_allowed_packet from server configuration of 1048576 bytes".
In a previous post, someone said that the file to configure is named "my.conf". However, I've never seen a file by that name. I do see 4 files who's names are close to that: "my-huge.cnf", "my-large.cnf", "my-medium.cnf", "my-small.cnf". These are the ones I've changed.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks again,
- Dylan
