[opencms-dev] PDF on the fly

Hi,
I know this is not an OpenCMS question, but since we are talking about PDF
generation using FOB... I tried this couple of months ago. Transforming
content item to XHTML was easy - just ran it through jTidy. However, using
fob to transform XHTML to PDF was something I never got working properly. It
seems that I was not able to find XSL from anywhere, which would produce an
error free FO output. With one of the XSLs I tried (Atennahouse) it caused
FOB to loop forever, which another one (from the IBM developer network)
after few modifications my FO code caused always an empty PDF even if the FO
code had all data in it :(
I was wondering if someone would have an XSL, which would transform XHTML
properly to FO and would like to send it :)
Regards,
Olli

Hy,
I suppose you can use the FOP java library (see on
http://xml.apache.org/fop/) to generate a PDF file from an xml source. So
jou have only translate a openCMS VFS element in a xml element and then
give it to FOP...
