Hi Vincent, and sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this (other work-project related crap has encompassed my life of late, now back to this - way more fun =) ).... I appreciate your input on this, I tried this but can't seem to get it to work in the command line... but I did set CATALINA_OPTS="-Dfile.encoding=ISO-8859-1" tried to re- run the opencms set up and still get the same freakin error....

I've tried everything (including changing the java vm encoding to ISO-8859-1 .... but no dice, anyone have another suggestion, this is getting annoying!

Thanks in advance,

Pete

PS - Pablo - the link http://www.adictosaltrabajo.com/tutoriales/tutoriales.php?pagina=opencm=s gave me the following error - thanks anyways tho "Warning: main(opencm=s.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/adictosa/public_html/tutoriales/tutoriales.php on line 132"
