[opencms-dev] Website access permissions gone weird

Ok, I think I resolved this:)

So, the problem here was as below:-

I have some resources in folder /access_folder1/access_folder2/. These
folders are controlled by 2 access groups: access_group1 for access_folder1
and access_group2 for access_folder2 to gain 2-tier access control. I
created both these groups as normal groups and made the user member in both
groups. However since access_folder2 is a sub folder in access_folder1 in
order to make this work properly access_group2 must inherit access_group1
and then the user must be made directly member in access_group2 (and
indirectly in access_group1).

Hopefully this makes sense to someone,

Olli

Thanks Luca - however I cannot use your approach because I don't want to
sign user in Users and Administrators groups and that way give him access to
the workplace.

After some further testing - now I have also some HTML files in the folder
with DOCs and PDFs. Access permissions for the HTML files are exactly the
same than for the binaries, however the user is not allowed to access the
binaries (only HTML files).

Anyone have any ideas what could be going on?

Thanks,

Olli
