[opencms-dev] Template development process

Hi,

I'm wondering if the only way to develop templates and jsp pages is to
use the built-in source code editor.

Since this editor does not have any syntax checks or even
auto-completion, I am interested in best practices for template/jsp
development.

Is it possible to use an external IDE like Eclipse or IntelliJ to create
