[opencms-dev] properties on files

Hello,

   I have a question related to properties set on files in OpenCMS (5.0).
I want to achieve this functionality:
-when a person sets a certain property on a file another property should 
be auto set
(based on the value of the previous property).
   I have checked the source of "com.opencms.workplace.CmsProperty" and 
i see a way to
add my desired functionality there but this means i have to change in 
OpenCms core class.
Is there another way you can think of?

Any idea is  greatly appreciated.
