Oh, sorry for the double post - hit refresh...:(

Yup, a couple have contacted me since my last post,
which is great. One brought up that the next release
of opencms may have a new built in news system (to be
honest I can't understand why it doesn't currently),
so I am a little concerned at paying someone to
develop a new module, while at the same time Alkacon
were duplicating the effort... I guess only they know,
and they are ignoring me:)

Regarding the news module - the one in the sand box
will work with version
5.01. I have not used the module myself (tend to build
my own content types
instead), but know people using it.

I was put off from using it initially due to its
readme, but it seems to work on my 5.0.1 install. It
will do fine for one project, but I really need
something more sophisticated for another project.

I my opinion the news module should allow you to do
this :)

Well I have the opinion that the newsmodule should do
that, but with no documentation, and only with the
patches to the demo site as examples, I have no idea
if it can, or how to get it to do that - bar coding it
myself.
