[opencms-dev] Open CMS and mysql on Debian

A useful trick for installation of OpenCMS on Debian

 

I remained struck at the creation of the DB tables with "Connection Refused"
message.

 

I was going to ask for help about this when I found the solution :

 

On Debian (an maybe on other distrib), the mysql conf (my.cnf) enables the
"skip-networking"  option by default.

 

To use jdbc, this option must be deactivated !
