AW: [poco-interesante] [opencms-dev] RV: Problems following OpenCmsmanual tutorial

Hello, I got the same problem as Mauricio. I do have the 2.6.2 xerces version, but it does not help (same root cause). javadoc documentation of xerces says there is no method CoreDocumentImpl.getEncoding(), so apparently tomcat is right. How does this work at all?

Bertram

Well, this is the root cause

>java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:
org.apache.xerces.dom.CoreDocumentImpl.getEncoding()Ljava/lang/String;

Do you have the xerces-j version 2.6.2 installed on tomcat/common/lib or
..../endorsed folder ?

Check your classpath and good luck !
