Hi list:

Well, all i want to say is in the subject, It would be nice to go to the
last opened folder when uploading files, because the images (for example)
are usually into the same local folder. Take this as a minor improvement,
affecting productivity.

Thanks.

Hi,

  I am not sure if weblogic 6.1 will be compatible with latest opencms. But
weblogic and oracle work with opencms. Check opencms mailing lists for
weblogic-oracle.

Ravi

perhaps somebody could find it useful.

HowTo: Apache2-Tomcat5-OpenCMS Integration on SLES9 with stable jk
connector:

http://www.pomegranate.de:90/cms/forum/viewthread?thread=7

or directly here:

HowTo Apache 2.0.52 - Tomcat 5.0.19 Integration on SuSE Linux Enterprise
Server 9 (SLES 9.1) with opencms

I assume you have installed OpenCms (or any othe application) on SLES9
under /srv/www/tomcat/demoserver/webapps/opencms/.

To enable apache to talk correctly with opencms servlet do the
following:

1. enable mod_jk.so module by editing /etc/sysconfig/apache2:
a) search for APACHE_MODULES and add "jk" to the list of modules
b) run SuSEconfig --module apache2
c) test if jk is loaded in /etc/apache2/sysconfig.d/loadmodule.conf

2. create jk.conf

a) touch /etc/apache2/conf.d/jk.conf

copy and paste the following to jk.conf

b) vi /etc/apache2/conf.d/jk.conf

--- start /etc/apache2/conf.d ---

<IfModule mod_jk.c>

JkWorkersFile "/etc/tomcat/demoserver/workers.properties"
JkLogFile "/var/log/tomcat/demoserver/mod_jk.log"

# Log level to be used by mod_jk
JkLogLevel error

JkMount /servlet/* ajp13
JkMount /*.jsp ajp13
JkMount /opencms/* ajp13

# The following line makes apache aware of the location of

Alias /opencms "/srv/www/tomcat/demoserver/webapps/opencms"
<Directory "/srv/www/tomcat/demoserver/webapps/opencms">

# The following line mounts all JSP files and the /servlet/ uri to

# that didn't work, set it on top :-)
#JkMount /servlets-examples/servlet/* ajp13
#JkMount /jsp-examples/*.jsp ajp13
#JkMount /opencms/* ajp13

--- end /etc/apache2/conf.d/jk.conf ---

3. edit /etc/tomcat/demoserver/web.xml

uncomment the invoker servlet and its mapping, which was commented

4. rctomcat stop
and Change CATALINA_BASE to "/srv/www/tomcat/demoserver" by editing the

/etc/sysconfig/j2ee

5. rctomcat start

6. rcapache2 restart

7. browse http://localhost/opencms/opencms

Hi, sorry for the silly question but, the templates within the OpenCMS
do things such:

CmsJspActionElement cms = new CmsJspActionElement(pageContext,
request, response);

String template =
"/system/modules/org.opencms.frontend.templateone/templates/main";

if (cms.template("head")) {
	// include the template head part
	cms.include(template, "head");
}

So they know that the head template will be in the path
/system/modules/org.opencms.frontend.templateone/templates/main, how
do I know if the path I am using is the correct one, It does not use
normal paths cause the files are inside the databas(VFS) so, for a
template in the org.whatever.test what is the correct path?

Thanks in advance... Sorry for the bad english

I have about 60 pages all based on the same template.
The pages have 5 elements each (copied from a default
body). I want to add a new editable element ot the
template using:

<cms:template element="newElement">
<cms:include element="newElement" editable="true" />
</cms:template>

The above entry works fine in the template, however
when I try to edit it, there are is no "newElement" in
the elements' drop-down list. Do I have to manually
edit each page's control code and include the element
using:

<element name="newElement">
  <links/>
  <content><content>
</element>

or is there an easier way to do it? I'm using version
6 alpha 2.

Jerry

Hello all,

I work for one of the OpenCms solution partners listed on the OpenCms
website and we could use one more OpenCms consultant for a project that will
start immediately.

If you are interested, please email me directly (indy77 at ameritech.net).
The candidate will need to have experience with deploying OpenCms with
Tomcat and MySQL (no surprises there) as well as with Linux and other open
source tools/projects such as Apache, Struts, etc. will be helpful.

You must have deploymed and extended OpenCms, created your own modules,
custom content definitions, roles/workflows, etc. (not just looking for
someone who has installed it and used it, but rather someone who has
developed to the OpenCms API and framework.)

Most work can be done remotely, but there will be limited travel to 1 or 2
locations of client in the United States. Project will last at least 3
months.

Thanks in advance for your interest and I apologize if this is not the
appropriate place to post such a listing,

Indy

Hi,

I'm currently trying to install some additional modules in OpenCMS v6
alpha2. I've installed the org.opencms.legacy.compatiblity module, but
importing any old doku modules just doesn't seem to work. While importing I
get a lot of exceptions (see messages at the end). The module is getting
imported, but when I attempt to open a doku, I get a
org.opencms.loader.CmsLoaderException: CmsException ID: 300 message

Same thing with the online help. Does the online help for v5 work with the
v6? Will the final release contain an online help?

Thanks for any help,
Stefan

Hi!
I have a download-gallery with jar- and jad-files.
Jars are binary and jads text.

If I try to publish the jars I got a
  ERROR [encms.threads.CmsPublishThread: 87] Error publishing project
org.opencms.file.CmsVfsResourceNotFoundException:

but the jar is there, publishing the jads works properly...

Any ideas?

TIA,
Markus
