[opencms-dev] Replace Classes in opencms.jar??

I need a the fixed CmsResource.class  from current CVS.  Is it possible 
to replace this single Class in the jarfile?

Is it possible to connect a fresh installed opencms  (based on the CVS) 
to an existing opencms mysql database (from opencms Alpha 3) ?
