AW: [opencms-dev] XML structured content & product data

Hi Jose,

you're, an "article" is rather generic. It's just a xml file containing a
title, a teaser, optionally a teaser image, then a number of sections, which
can contain text, links, infos and/or images. Whatever the content is, is up
to you.

It contains news functionality as well, but this is a "side-product". The
OpenCms 5 module can be found in the www.opencms.org module sandbox, but it
is not worth installing it, as the OpenCms6 module is nearly finished. I
hope to publish it tomorrow.

Regards
Ulrich

P.S. My own private homepage is already using the new module. It's in
German, but you still may have a look e.g. at
http://www.rueth.info/privat/glaube/index.html, there you'll find a section
called "Artikel", which is a generically produced list of articles. The
source is one single xml file per article.

Thanks Ulrich,

I guess that when you said "article management module", the article is
something like a product, no a news article. Anyway, can you sent to me the
module for OpenCms version 5, or tell me where I can download it from, just
to get a first contact with it.

Let me know if you need any help with your development, I may help.

Best Regards

José F. Hernández
