[opencms-dev] static publishing question

I've just started exploring Open CMS and like what I see so far.  One
feature question I have is if it is possible to do static publishing
not of the entire site on demand, but as part of regular workflow? 
That is, if a new page is created, only that page and affected pages
need be published out, not the entire site via spidering or something
else.  I really haven't seen an open source CMSs with this
functionality that many mid-tier CMS products such as RedDot and
Percussion provide.  This recent article gives a good summary:
