[opencms-dev] Problems with removing of /opencms/opencms (rewrite method)

Hi

My intention is again being able to remove the /opencms/opencms pre-uri. 
As I mentioned I installed Tomcat 5.0.x and watched the behaviour while 
additionally changing the webapp dir from /opencms to /ROOT.

@ ProxyPass Method:
- tomcat 4.1.x -> changing the webapp dir to ROOT hadn't any influence 
at all
- tomcat 5: generally speaken less problems
  webapp dir opencms: the workplace explorer correctly displays the "/" 
site tree, but content is not editable because the project is always in 
online mode
  webapp dir ROOT: works perfectly. i will use that configuration

@ Rewrite Method:
- tomcat 4.1.x -> buggy
- tomcat 5: I just tried out the configuration with webapp set to 
opencms. Unfortunately the problem symptoms were the same as described 
in the last email.

Thank you anyway for your quick help input. To me it is still a miracle 
how you're able to remove the pre-uri that simple... but i'm very glad 
to have found at least ONE solution despite the fact of using ROOT 
instead opencms as the webapp dir.
