[opencms-dev] Quickest way to migrate between servers?

If you don't want to go through exporting from the server and install
OpenCms and modules and subsequently importing the exported file on the
laptop, then the easiest method is to backup (copy or whatever is
needed for your RDBMS) the database and copy the appropriate webapps
dir to the laptop.
This approach of course requires that Java sdk, Tomcat, RDBMS and what
have you are at the same (or compatible) versions on both machines.
And then just do the same in the opposite direction when coming back -
just don't make any changes to the server before 'merging' with the
updated data from the laptop.
