[opencms-dev] OCMS5 -* Lucene indexing a database*

How do I get Lucene to index fields in my (separate) database?

 

Do I have to do something like:

extract the fields from the database, put them into some kind of html page
store and then use Lucene to index these pages?

Then only update the page/s that correspond to the same database fields with
the altered data.

Hmmmmmm.

 

Is this the way to do it?????

 

Has anybody done this before?

 

Please help..
