[opencms-dev] Importing XML Files

Hello,
 
I need to import a large amount of XML files into the VFS and have them set  
with the type "xmlcontent" in order to use them with OpenCMS 6 xml content  
features. Importing via "upload new file" or through the synchronization  
management only sets the file type to "plain". Is there a solution?
