[opencms-dev] can i use rowset.writeXml() directly in module

Hi ! i am working on OpenCMS for the past 2-3 weeks and i have a query
reg Content Definition i am writing my own content using 
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/javax/sql/rowset/WebRowSet.html
in the content defintion by over writing the methods like write() and deltete() , can i use cms frame wrok to retrive the data if so then what is the difference between them when compared to regular contentn definition
