[opencms-dev] Direct Publishing

Thanks for your response. Yes, similar to what you explained in your
response(something like recurse through the export directory)

I am new to opencms, coming from Interwoven background. Opencms is
really cool and a very nice CMS.
Just curious, so far opencms is used only for the sites that use opencms
for content delivery also?
To be more specific, a content editor creates a new article
using the opencms templating and the article HTML file needs to be
served by a web server. I am ok with running the web server and opencms
in the same machine.

Is there a possibility to extract HTML content from opencms created
using the templating?

Thanks,
Ben.

Do you mean something that can publish to a separate server using
something like FTP protocol? It's something I have on my to-do list to
explore. It will probably be a separate applicaton that will spider
the OpenCMS content (or recurse through the export directory) and zap
it to a static file web server via FTP. I'm a little concerned about
link paths (/opencms/opencms/... etc), but I'm confidant I can come up
with a solution.

Has anyone else tackled this problem? Ie a DreamWeaver stlye publish
to web server button. As far as I can tell that's not built into
OpenCMS (?).

Joe.
