[opencms-dev] Unmarshalling xml document failed!

I've developed a variant of the xmldemo/article example.
I can edit and delete XML article files, and can open them to be rendered 
through detail.jsp, but when I try 'new' I've started to get Unmarshalling 
xml document failed!. This used to work.
Any pointers on where to look please?
