[opencms-dev] Document Manager System

Hello,

I'm an OpenCms newbie and I was impressed by its features.

I want to implement a Enterprise Content Management system to manage
our projects documentation. Here are the specifications :

- all users have to login
- each user can add documents (DOC, PPT, XLS, PDF) with metadata like
a title, a description, keywords
- document browsing and searching
- versioning features
- workflow for new document validating (by a project manager)
- checkout, checkin
- …

OpenCms seems to be a good tool to implement such a system. Can you
confirm this ?

Moreover, I have an important question :
The backend (admin) interface seems to be too huge for our end-users…
is it possible to develop a frontend interface, where users will have
to login and will be able to add documents, to view all versions, etc.
Does anybody have a such experience with OpenCms ?
