sorry try this:
 
cvs co -r build_6_0_0 opencms
 
but I don't understand, why you get the authorization failed

my command line version is:

I tried to retrieve the sourec using the setup you suggest, but got:
C:\ucvsroot>set CVSROOT=:pserver:anon at cvs.opencms.org:/usr/local/cvs
C:\ucvsroot>cvs login
(Logging in to anon at cvs.opencms.org)
CVS password:
/usr/local/cvs : no such repository
cvs login: authorization failed: server cvs.opencms.org rejected access
to /usr/local/cvs  for user anon
C:\ucvsroot>

I'm using the cmd line version of wincvs 1.2 on XP. I used password of:
anon.
any thoughts?

--> provide "anon" as password

cvs co opencms -r build_6_0_0

Or 

cvs co opencms  (this will checkou the HEAD)

Or use jCVS or WinCVS and set the above properties in your client.

How can I do to get the source of the version 6.0. I don't know if the
cvs has source that has not been tested yet. I'd like to know if i can
