[opencms-dev] Admin-Tools development: Why the property admintoolhandler-arg contain the path

Hi Devs,

i'm currently developing a new tool for the administration view and
successfully created a list and a simple add / edit dialog. I'm trying
to understand the concept to (eventually) write down a small howto after
i'm done. One thing that confuses me is the "path:" entry in the
admintoolhandler-args property. I think(!) i understand why it is used
(to structure the modules and create the breadcrumb), but i haven't yet
found the advantage of using this property instead of "real" path's
consisting of vfs-folders. Could you please point me into the right
direction? I haven't looked into the source too much because if have
just started to work on the project, so maybe i'm missing some
fundamental point.

Any other hint's about tool development are greatly appreciated. So far
i've found those links useful (for anybody who has the similar problems):
