[opencms-dev] search engines and static vs. dynamic contents

Just a question (in the vein of mentioning of static exports in recent posts):

Does static contents favor hit rates in search engines an robots,
in the sense that your sites' contents is searched better and is more
present in hit results of search engine requests?

Or asked the other way around: Can dynamic contents (VFS) impede robots and
search engines? 

Do special measures have to be taken to give robots so to say
"readily prepared food" containing an index of all searchable keywords
and items on a site?

Imagine you have lots of PDF documents on your site. Do robots search
all these PDF documents for keywords? Or would a periodically initiated
local search of your sites' search mechanism be feasible to prepare the
"robots' food"?
