I prefer the ROOT method. Why would you want to have another ROOT application
anyway?

And the opencms-importexport.xml changes are different from the above
tutorial. I'm not sure whether it is peculiar to the ROOT method but I use
<rfs-prefix>${CONTEXT_NAME}/export</rfs-prefix>
<vfs-prefix>${CONTEXT_NAME}</vfs-prefix>
instead of
<rfs-prefix>/export</rfs-prefix>
<vfs-prefix></vfs-prefix>
