Are you running on Sun's JVM? If not, you could try installing that and see
if it makes a difference.

Subject: [opencms-dev] Tomcat aborts on installing OpenCms

Hi. I'm trying to start OpenCms. Also I'm new to JAVA environment.
I'm installing OpenCms 6.2.1 on Fedora Core 5. I installed tomcat5 and
tomcat5-webapps packages with yum.
Then started it as "service tomcat5 start" and found java process is
running.
I checked some jsp-examples and servlets-examples come with tomcat5-webapps
and they looked like well.
As instalation guide, I copied "opencms.war" in webapps directory and
accessed it via tomcat. It was OK and I got a directory opencms in webapps.
Accessing opencms/setup, my browser shows "Welcome to the OpenCms setup"
screen but after clicking "yes" and "continue", the tomcat server never
responds.
I checked process and the java process has been lost.
I added JAVA_OPTS="-Djava.awt.headless=true" in /etc/tomcat5/tomcat5.conf
(the start-script for tomcat reads it and put it as an argument to java
process) and restarted tomcat, but nothing changed.
I found a message in "/var/log/tomcat5/catalina.out" as "Gtk-WARNING
**: cannot open display:" so it looks like the problem with GUI library, but
I don't have any more idea to solve it.
Can anyone help me?
