[opencms-dev] Shared content for multiple sites: VFS access problem

Hello list,

I try to share image galleries across multiple OpenCms - sites. The 
simplest way I found out is:

put the image galleries into:

/system/shared/

All editors see the gallery and are allowed to upload to the gallery, 
but they CANNOT access the folder via VFS. As member of  group "Project 
Manager" you cannot change to Site "/".
- Can I change this behavior in an opencms-*.xml file?
- Using a sibling doesn't really help

Any ideas, how to solve that problem? Are there other possibilities to 
share image galleries across multiple sites?
