[opencms-dev] static export-publish files

I meant to ask: whiat happens when you try to publish?  And if you're
getting an unhelpful error message, have you looked in the OpenCms log at
<opencms home>/WEB-INF/logs/opencms.log?

No, they're not linked like this.  'Publish' just means 'make available in
the online project'.  When a resource is exportable, it is exported to an
offline export location when appropriate and to a (different) online export
location when appropriate.

Hi all
 
Is is necessary to enable static export in opencms.properties to publish
project/pages. iam using weblogic and have disabled static export as it is a
pain to make it work in weblogic. everything other than publish works fine
now. 
 
so was just wondering static export is linked to publish
