It depends on your definition of the word 'easily'. We are struggling to
extend our openCMS instance - the stumbling block isn't that extending
is hard to do (the bits we have figured out so far have turned out to be
easy enough), but that the documentation is so poor.
Even the purchased docs are poor - we have bought "Managing and
Customising OpenCms 6", and as far as the latter is concerned
(customising), the book is as much use as a chocolate teapot. We have
avoided buying the second book "Building Websites with OpenCms" due to
its poor review on Amazon (similar issues - the easy stuff is covered
well, the harder stuff very badly).
