[opencms-dev] External XML access

Hello,

I'm totally new to OpenCMS so my question my be totally obvious
however I can't seem to find my answer in either in the documenation
or in the archive mailing list.

Is it possible to read an external XML document versus reading the
document directly from the VFS?

Can I do something like on a JSP page:

<cms:contentload collector="singleFile"
param="http://www.external.com/myxml.xml" editable="true">
