[opencms-dev] selective saerch

Hi 

can anyone point me at some good search doco. I think what I need to do is quite simple but can't find any examples.

I am running with opencms version 6.0.3. I need to provide a selective search feature -  within a particular sub-directory of documents for example. I also need to provide ability to filter search on title, author, description and various other document attributes.

This has become urgent so all help appreciated.
