[opencms-dev] Roles

I am using OpenCMS 6. Could this be related to why I can't create new
folders and basic file types? If so, how do I give an administrator this
role?

I am still having problems to understand the roles in OC. Why does a 
Workplace-User cannot create new folders/files (the new-menu is 
available but they have no write permission). I always have to give the 
role vfs resourcemanager but then the user is able to overwrite a 
existing lock.

I thought it would be something like
- Workplace User: create files, and so on...so use the backend
- Resourcemanager: give a user a little bit more power over resources

What is the Workplace-User role for, when I just can log in? Or might I 
have done something wrong in my configuration?

Oh and by the way, it would be handy to give roles to a group instead to 
each user.
