All I can think is to make sure you have declared enough memory in your
java virtual machine.

You can also increase the memory MySQL uses, but this shouldn't affect
stability, only performance. The only stability issue I know of with
MySQL is when max_allowed_packet is too small.

We have some problems with our hardware running OpenCMS with database
MySQL,
the CPU is a single xeon 3.0ghz, 2gb of RAM, the database is persist a
lot
of multimidia content like flash movies (FLV) and actually have +/- 1gb
at
the MySQL.
The problem that occour is that this server DOWN any times of day
needing to
restart the appach, tomcat and the MySQL to up it again. The doubt is
this
configuration is good, the problem is about any configuration at the
appache, tomcat or MySQL or we need upgrade this server for what ?
If anyone can write suggestions!
