Hello again,
No luck in getting hints about the problem explained below, so could you post URLs of OpenCms (preferably but not exclusevely version 6.x.x) search pages in public sites that index a few hundred resources, so that I can get an idea of their response time?
Thanks,
Pere

Subject: [LIKELY_SPAM][opencms-dev] Content search performance
Hello List,
In a OpenCms 6.2.3 system (migration to 7.x is not possible for now) we are experiencing content search times that seem really too long, but I don't have any other reference to compare them.
For example, one of the search indexes is defined on a folder with roughly 1000 resources (mainly a mixture of HTML and PDF, with a few XML structured content), and in a dedicated system the time needed for CmsSearch.getSearchResult() + getting the results data is in the order of 10 seconds for around 100 results, and much longer as the number of results grow.
Is this kind of performance what we should expect?
If not, I must say that I already browsed all available OpenCms documentation and forums about improving search performance or common mistakes related to it, with no luck, so can somebody suggest anything that can help me?
Thanks very much,
Pere
