Hi Uwe,

Thank you for your quick response.
I think, i tried to enter the entry in the init.d directory into tomcat6
start-script at the very end:
"java.awt.headless=true "
But the error message stays the same.
I am not sure about the exact filename of the start script, because I am
not at work right now and cannot confirm before Monday.
Is the entry correct? Is it necessary to put the true in "quotation marks"?
Is there a difference between capital and normal letters?

How is your entry in the start-script in your debian distribution?

I'm working not on Suse but on Debian and don't know where the
Suse-startup-scripts reside, but have a look at /etc/init.d/ if there's
something.

Unfortunately we don't know exactly what you tried and didn't work. So if
my hint above doesn't help, please provide some more information.
