[opencms-dev] How to cause the HTML editor to set the text direction to right-to-left?

Dear all.

The FCK-editor of opencms uses an iframe as its editing area. The <html>
tag of that iframe will always have the attribute dir="ltr", which sets
the text direction to left-to-right. This attribute value is even
applied when editing a page in languages that actually require
right-to-left rendering of text.

Does anybody know a way to cause the editor to set the text direction to
rtl instead for those languages that require right-to-left rendering?
The problem is that it's going to be a mixed-language website, so I
would only want this changed for locales like arabic, that really
require rtl.

Does anybody have an idea on this?

Alternatively, does anybody have an idea how the editor could be caused
to add a lang attribute to the edit area and set the value of that
attribute to the locale of the page that is currently edited?

Best Regards
Christian
