Dear Kai,
We have seen color bugs in Java whe using ImageIO in other projects as well (apart from OpenCms). Problem might be, that Java might identify a RGBA jpeg ad CMYK. The algorithm used by Java just counts the number of channels.
I'm niot sure if this is true in this case, but try to save the image as RGB in PhotoShop.
Kind regards,
Carsten

Betreff: [opencms-dev] OpenCms 8.5: scaling image (jpg) changes color of original image
Hi list,
one of our customer recognized that some jpegs, when the cropping or resizing feature (via cms:img tag) of OpenCms is used, get a red color tone or chroma (sorry I am not sure if that is the correct translation for the german word "Farbton") applied.
It is like somehow some red color is added to the picture or a red mostly transparent layer is placed on top of the image.
We think it has to do with the settings used in the photo editor (e.g. Photoshop) when saving the image, but currently couldn't find out which settings.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot in advance
Best regards
Kai
