[opencms-dev] Building opencms-core 9.0.1 with gradle

Hello everyone,

I'm restarting some opencms development after several months working other
projects. I'm again disappointed by build scripts. Unfortunately, regarding
the revamped gradle build I could only find some hints scattered in
different presentations hosted in slideshare.net. No easy to find (or not
existing at all?) official documentation.

The first error after a clean checkout of the opencms-core repository,
branch 9_0_1:

#gradle

FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

* Where:
Build file '/home/myuser/src-local/opencms-9_0_1/opencms-core/build.gradle'
line: 45

* What went wrong:
A problem occurred evaluating root project 'opencms-core'.
> Could not find property 'distribution' on configuration ':compile'.

* Try:
Run with --stacktrace option to get the stack trace. Run with --info or
--debug option to get more log output.

BUILD FAILED

I'll try to document my progress in the wiki (last update 2014-07-04!) but
I'll be grateful if someone has any pointers.
