[opencms-dev] Identifying hard spaces when editing

Hi all,

I was very pleased to find that the Acacia editor successfully stores " " (hard space) entities - excellent! (Ref. my previous nagging about OpenCms editors irrevocably auto-replacing hard spaces with regular spaces.)

There is a slight problem though:
When editing, there is no easy way to tell if a space is hard or just a regular space. Both look like a space, plain and simple. (In regular mode, source mode, and even when viewing the control code.) AFAIK, as of now, the only way to identify hard spaces is to manipulate the width of the paragraph and look for spaces that don't break - Very tedious.

Is there any way to make the editor show (store?) the actual " " entity, as-is?

Alternatively, is there any other way to make hard spaces distinguishable from regular spaces - by styling or something?

Cheers,
Paul
