Hi Filip,
we had performance issues in an OCEE Cluster as well. We changed a few settings especially in the CmsVfsCache section in the ocee-cache.xml.
Do not use the default setting. They don't help very much.
Best thing is you start with a certain value depending on the full amount of RAM.
A good start value may be 8192 or 16384 for offline and online. But be careful with the setting of the CmsCacheProperties. We had issues, that properties were not correctly updated between clusters.
Of course I do not know very much about your complete system, but I think you do not need a third cluster. I think you gain more by correctly setting your ocee cache parameter. If that does not help, I would suggest using a tool like dynatrace to find possible performance issues in your custom code.
HTH
Have a nice weekend.
Kai

Betreff: [opencms-dev] OCEE Cluster architecture
Hi guys,
I'd like to know your opinion to the OpenCms Cluster Architecture.
What I'm speaking about?
We have 2 nod cluster where ND1 is used for both - content serving and administration (it is workplace server). ND2 is used only for content serving (and is "standby" workplace server). We have some problems with performance. Site have heavy load, we use OCEE Accelerator as so as Flex cache (+ some files are static exported)...
I want to know, if the better solution will be use new ND3 as sepparate workplace server and let ND1 and ND2 only serve content... In this case we must use OCEE Replication module of course. But my question is - is it "much better"? Will it improve performance significantly? Or its not necessary and we can only add ND3 with the same approach?
I know it depends on many things... Thank you for your suggestions.
