[opencms-dev] import module without breaking site functionality

Hello,

what are the best practices for importing a module into a running production
opencms site?

Currently when I import the module the previous module is deleted and then
imported from scratch. Then I have to restart the container if I made
changes in jar files.

During this process the site will not work having many 500 errors.

 

Any suggestion?
