Hi Tobias, good to know
I did the switch to kapctha at that time more or less (maybe 3 years ago)
because I found the jcapthca security on my site had been broken (found a
lot of spam)
I didnt know it is not developed anymore, but I can say that since then I
didnt have any problems with kaptcha
If anyone has other suggestion is welcome :)
Bye, Lisa

Thanks Lisa!
I konfigured Kaptcha to have a look at the image output. Seem to work with
Java 8 so far.
But I've still some doubts how long it would work, as Kaptcha isn't
developed any further for more than 4 years now... :-(
Best,
Tobias

Well, it is the code from old template one.
I added kaptcha servlet to opencms web.xml so they share the same session.
Then modified the captcha code in template one in order to use the image
generated by kapctha.
Bye, Lisa

Thanks Lisa,
Does "from old opencms" mean pre OpenCms 8 using webform module 1.4.1 or the
newer version 2.0.2 for ADE?
Did you need to modified a lot in the webform module?
Beste,
Tobias

Oggetto: [opencms-dev] Webform module, Jcaptcha and Java 1.8
Hi all,
after updating to Java 1.8 the captcha image in webform module is completely
black.
Someone else ran across this problem?
Seems like Jcaptcha needs Java 1.7. And it looks like Jcaptcha is an
abandoned project.
Is there any standalone captcha lib which supports Java 1.8 to replace
Jcaptcha?
(won't be able to use reCAPTCHA)
Best,
Tobias
