[opencms-dev] Usermanagement bug / No parent group selectable

Hi Alexander,

oops :D, what a shame :|

Can't understand that decision, but it's your decision.
But why "end user"? This should affect administrators only, should it?
Wasn't it possible to make it optional, so if you like to have it
complex, you may use parent groups, but don't have to?

Another reason why this is bad:
Say, I have hundreds of groups for my clients, and one parent group for
all this clients.
So I am able to set basic access permissions on the parent group for
some base folder etc..
Now I have to set these base permissions for all the client groups
separately?

Ah, well, no, I have to assign the parent group and the child group both
manually to some user ... o.k., not very comfortable, but o.k..

What about all the parent groups already defined?
Do they still work as before?
How can I remove this parent groups and restructure to the new approach?

Thanx for this information anyway :).

Kind regards, Bernd
