How do you proxy? Localhost? Do you preserve the host name?

Hi Fabian,
yes. Do you think, that could be the problem?
Hm, the system is running for about two years now. We never had that problem. Whereas I cannot say, if we ever wanted to access /
change the sites folder in this time.
Thanks for your help.
Best regards
Kai

Is there a proxy in front of OpenCms?

Betreff: Re: [opencms-dev] OpenCms 8.5.1: error with folder sites
Hi list,
I am a little bit desperate.
I checked the database tables with mysqlcheck --> ok.
I deleted all caches and the tomcat work folder and restarted tomcat.
Nothing helps.
The really weird thing is, that I can change permission on the folder sites, but when I want to show the properties dialog, OpenCms
says:
Not enough permissions to execute the operation on the resource "/sites".
Required permissions are: "+w".
Any help highly appreciated.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Best regards
Kai

Hi Fabian,
thanks for your hint. I checked that and the access to the server is identical to the settings in the opencms-system.xml.
I have the bad feeling, that there is something wrong with the database consistency.
Have a nice day.
Best regards
Kai

Hi Kai,
the problem rings a bell. One reason can be that the configured workplace server (opencms-system.xml) differs from the accessing
server.
E.g. you have configured someserver.tld as the workplace server but you access the system via someotherserver.tld
Kind regards,
\Fabian

Betreff: [opencms-dev] OpenCms 8.5.1: error with folder sites
Hi list,
I am logged in as Admin and get the following error when trying to call the properties dialog of the folder "sites":
org.opencms.file.CmsVfsResourceNotFoundException: Fehler beim Lesen der Ressource aus dem Pfad "/sites".
Reason: Error reading resource from path "/sites".
Reason: Unable to read resource "/sites".
When I click on "Lock" in the context menu, I get the following error:
Not enough permissions to execute the operation on the resource "/sites".
Required permissions are: "+w".
I checked the permissions. They are all right.
When I click on the folder "sites", the page reloads. I cannot enter the folder.
Does anybody have an idea what happens here?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Best regards
Kai
