[opencms-dev] openCMS User Manual for version 9.5.0

Hi,

Thank you for your response.
So there is some Documentation/Help/UserManuals for versions 6.x/7.x/8.x as PDF available (where do those come form?) - there is a nice page for Version 10.
But version 9 has to be built and put into the running OpenCMS?

After cloning https://github.com/alkacon/opencms-documentation/tree/build_9_5_0 and running gradle I don't get a module zip file . just an empty jar.
Is there any dependency missing that does not raise an error if available.

Best,
Paul

Hi Paul,

there's no PDF-Documentation. It's a website running in OpenCms - as it is at documentation.opencms.org. Gradle will build you some OpenCms modules that you have to install in your OpenCms instance.

Hi,

Currently I cna find here:

http://www.opencms.org/de/download/documentation.html
documents for OpenCMS 8.5.1

Why isn't there anything for 9.5?

I tried downloading and building with gradle but it seams not generating PDFs is there nothing like that?
(not sure if calling correct tasks)

Best,
Paul

Currently only the documentation for the latest OpenCms release is available online.

You can compile documentation for 9.5.x using the source from github: https://github.com/alkacon/opencms-documentation You only need modules org.opencms.documentation, org.opencms.documentation.content and maybe org.opencms.documentation.central. Note that javadoc and tlddoc are not included. They must be produced from the opencms-core.

Best, Daniel.
