It is,
But the <arbitrary name> from WebAppConnection must be the "/conn" in WebAppDeploy.
i.e.:
WebAppConnection myconn warp localhost:8080 (for tomcat4 8180)
WebAppDeploy examples myconn /examples
(look at the INSTALL.TXT from mod_webapp)

That should do the trick.
