[opencms-dev] Version history for uploaded files

Hi All,

Is it possible to apply version control / history to uploaded files, such
as MS Word and PDF documents?  When I try to upload an edited version of a
Word document I get a "resource already exists" error, even if I have
locked the file before performing the upload.   Ideally we would like to
have the option to restore a previous version of a non HTML file without
having to maintain an external document management system.
